Disclaimer:  I know I’m biased.  I’m a professional videographer.  BUT, I’m also a recent bride. The experience of being a bride has refocused my energy towards serving our couples better than ever because I can personally vouch for the power of an awesome wedding filmmaker.

HELPS YOU to BE PRESENT

Having a quality videographer capturing your wedding day gives you peace of mind knowing you don’t have to see everything.  You can be fully present in every individual moment knowing you will see it all again through a different perspective in your wedding film.  Not only that, but in my own experience, because we hired videographers who know how to tell an excellent story, our friends Sarah and Rick at PenWeddings, our film is more than just pretty moving images. There is audio, beautiful voiceover and emotional natural audio that takes us right back to the moments we want to remember forever.

MAKES YOUR INVESTMENT LAST BEYOND ONE DAY

You’re investing in your wedding day to make it a memory that lasts far beyond one day.  And, if you’re like us, you value the story of the two of you. You want your wedding film to unfold in a way that leads you through a narrative that fully encompasses all that the two of you are together.  A skilled videographer has the ability to do just that.

TELLS YOUR STORY FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

There is more than one way to craft a beautiful wedding film.  All of us have our own methods. Whether it’s a structured framework or a casual consultation, the idea is to help your filmmaker learn your story better, so they can create the most meaningful film for you. So, don’t be afraid to open up and share all the stories that make the two of you who you are together. A quality videographer can help make your memories last a lifetime.  Just imagine sharing your wedding film with your kids and grandkids someday!

TIPS FOR FINDING YOUR IDEAL VIDEOGRAPHER

When researching videographers, be sure to watch several videos from each of the companies you check out.  What do you like? What do you dislike? Schedule a phone call or meeting either in-person or via video conferencing with each of your top two or three.  Talk to them. Ask lots of questions to learn about their process and their final product.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

High quality wedding videographers will:

·       Encourage you to have a say in how your story is told and how your day is portrayed.

·      Guide you through envisioning your wedding day in a way that helps you make the best use of your coverage time.

·      Show you how to plan for special moments to happen throughout the day.

·      Give you specific tips for looking and sounding your best on camera.

·      Give you peace of mind that you are in capable and professional hands.

You should also look for professionals who have the proper business insurance, a formal client contract, a professional website, and hopefully several legitimate testimonials.

LETS YOU RELIVE THE DAY

There’s no feeling quite like watching your own wedding film.  The day may have been a blur, but a quality wedding video allows you to pause life and relive it anytime you wish. It truly is the ultimate keepsake of your wedding day.
